Avon has been selling in France for over 50 years, but its operations in the country will be shut down by the end of the month.

Avon’s Paris office employs about 120, plus 11,000 representatives who visit customers in their own homes. Only current orders will be guaranteed, and Avon says it is unsure if its self-employed representatives will be able to get supplies after the end of October.

The BBC reported that a workers’ council representing Avon staff in France was challenging the company for not following the correct redundancy process. Meetings are taking place between workers and management.

But so far, Avon hasn’t confirmed the information about the closure.
